Bushrat Studios – Local Music Collaboration

Bushrat Studios is a collaborative community studio project based near Barnstaple, in Devon UK. We welcome artists, songwriters and musicians to join us in a collaboration of works across all genres.

We are an inclusive studio and offer opportunities for those people who may suffer from anxiety or confidence issues that might make the thought of being in a studio too daunting to explore. Let us support you to get your voice heard.

We create original material and are looking forward to sharing our joint works across multiple digital platforms. All works are MCPS and PRS protected ©Bushrat Studios. Once up and running will be distributing across YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, Amazon, Deezer and several more. We also have spots secured on local and digital radio.

We will be posting links to all of our material on the website once it is at marketing quality – until then if you would like to hear some of our work in progress hit the contact us button and drop us a line.

As a big Happy Birthday to our very own Kate Upton, Bushrat Studios are happy to announce her debut release “SUMMER FLOWERS”. Summer Flowers is an upbeat acoustic track that will take you back to childhood summers, colourful fields and maybe even your first love.

Beautiful vocals by Kate, music by Adrian Withers, lyrics and production by Bushrat Studios.

SUMMER FLOWERS will go live on all the major platforms in the next few days – we will post a link as soon as its available. Kate’s track will also be added to the Bushrat Studios playlist, to which we will also post a new link when the track is live.

We are happy to welcome The Very (sometimes extremely) Reverend Deacon Martin to the Bushrat Studios Family. RED BERRIES is the Reverend’s first release through Bushrat Studios. The track is a restored vintage blues recording made many a moon ago – only now is the world ready!

RED BERRIES will be available on all major streaming platforms within the next couple of days.

We also are honoured to present “WAYFINDER” dedicated to CJ’s dad, Craig who has always been CJ’s guiding light and has been so strong during such an awful time and will continue to be so for all of us.

4/1/23 ****HARD TIMES FOR BRS****

As you may know the Bushrat Studios fam has faced some pretty tough times over the last few months – we are all taking it day by day and fielding the blows as they come in the only way we know – together and with music.

Over the next couple of weeks we have two unexpected releases on the table – one is YOU GO ON dedicated to my wonderful step son CJ who passed away recently and the other, WAYFINDER dedicated to his amazing father Craig, my partner, who not only gave CJ everything he ever wanted during his life but who also has navigated my ship through some pretty rough seas as well – Thank you both 🌳🐀❤️

Both tracks are recorded by Bushrat Studios own Erin.

You Go On will be part of CJ’s memorial and after this has taken place the video version will be available for anyone who wants a copy as a keepsake – just message me and I will send a transfer link – the video will only be available via private request.

Both tracks will be available on the usual platforms and I will post links as soon as they are ready.

Keep strong and tell the people you love that you love them. Life really is too short.

Bushrat Studios are immensely happy to announce our new collaboration partnership with Drum and Bass producer/artist KEYLO.

The single GRAVITY is due for release on 12/1/24 through Deep Audio Records.

Music by Keylo, words and melodies by Bushrat Studios and an absolutely banging vocal by Bushrat Studios – Erin – The track will also feature on Keylo’s new EP.

Charon is a dark tale of the ferryman of Hades, famous in Greek mythology. Its a retro rock number and has everything you could want from that genre – epic vocals, squealy guitars and spooky synths

Beaucop MovemenT are Andrew from Cornwall and Jon from Hampshire. Beaucoup MovemenT was formed in Reading in 2010 and predominantly features electronic music. The guys write and produce all their own music and feature a number of vocalists on their projects.

Bushrat Studios would like to give a shout out and big welcome to 3 new collaborators to the project….in order of appearance we have:

WHOISP – or P as we call him is a multi genre producer, multi instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. Links to the WHOISP channels are at the bottom of this post

SIMON- Simon is a singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist. Simon is a member of the local Cornish band The Countrymen. Links to the Countrymen’s Spotify channel are at the bottom of this post.

EARLYMAN – Earlyman is a conscious singer/songwriter and reggae DJ. Earlyman’s passion is freedom, truth and positive vibes – look out for an upcoming release from him in the near future. A link to Earlyman’s YouTube channel is at the bottom of this post.

Bushrat Studios are very happy to welcome Kate to the collaboration team. Kate hails from Devon and is currently based in Cornwall, amazingly within shouting distance of the studio! Kate is a talented singer/songwriter who also plays guitar. She has already been into Bushrat Studios and recorded the first take of an awesome new track called “SUMMER FLOWERS” so keep an eye out for that to be on the list of upcoming releases.
